In Moldova, renovating public buildings to accelerate the energy transition

In the Republic of Moldova, the INSPIREE project supports the country’s energy transition by improving the energy efficiency of public buildings. Implemented as part of the cooperation between AFD and the Moldovan authorities, it aims to support reforms in the energy sector, reduce energy consumption and strengthen the resilience of public infrastructure.
The project includes the energy renovation of buildings, particularly in the health and education sectors. The planned interventions will focus on thermal insulation, the modernization of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, as well as the installation of more efficient equipment.
By contributing to the modernization of essential public services, INSPIREE supports Moldova’s efforts to strengthen its energy security, reduce its environmental impact and continue its convergence towards European standards.
